"Don't Be a Sissy"

On a Daily Basis…
Life knocks at my door and asks me to play
I’m skeptical of life
I never know what to say
So I just shrug my shoulders
And say, “okay,” anyway
I step out my front door
And proceed to portray…

We only have one Life which makes it a monopoly
Enabling Life to screw us whenever it wants
Every time it threatens to leave us
Life has us begging and pleading for it to stay
Because that’s just the way Life taunts

Individuality is a result of personality
Personality is a result of the Soul
The Soul is a result of the Spirit
The Spirit is the result of your life experience

So, on your application for individuality
How much life experience do you really have?
If you don’t count all the times you didn’t take that chance
Subtract all the fears that kept you from the dance
Take out all the times you held back from enhance
And every time you passed up a wild romance
What is the length of your lifespan stance?

Hey, I’m just saying…
No one wants the boring Life
And no one wants to marry the boring wife
And lack of experience just makes you the boring guy
And who wants to make love to that?

So, before you apply for individuality
Open your door and agree to play with Life.
Make out with life and then let it slap you around a little bit.
Believe me, you’ll have the time of your LIFE.
